Mary’s Musings...about MY RUTHLESS PRINCE by Gaelen Foley

Gaelen and I have had a little bit of time here and there at the conferences and I was very excited to receive MY RUTHLESS PRINCE.    She and I could have had time in New York last year except I wrote down the wrong date and time to meet up with her.  I was and still am beside myself unhappy about this and promised myself we will meet again even if I have to fly to Philadelphia.

After meeting Gaelen I was so blown away by her sense of style, easy going nature, and of course an animal lover.  We talked books and dogs over a cup of tea and I reminded her how much her books mean to everyone that reads them.

Drake and Emily’s story will blow the readers away because it is everything we fight for in a loved one.  To keep them safe, loved, and try not to let them down.  Drake has been mentioned in other books in this series but he really is a man that needs no introduction because he owns the right to brag about his character’s sense of valor.  Emily is right there with him and never blinks at his requests or demands throwing a few back at him of her own!

I am proud to let you know that I received a copy of MY RUTHLESS PRINCE from Avon, an Imprint of Harper Collins Publishers to be given away.  To be eligible to win please leave a comment on  “what is worth fighting for regardless of the consequence?” then come back on Sunday – January 1st to see if you have won.  Please remember if you do not come back, you will not know if you won, because I am going to need your address.

As always I wish you happy reading, encourage you to celebrate your Little Victories, and come back to see what book I am reviewing and offering up for a giveaway.  Do not forget to cast your positive votes for me on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.  Your vote matters!

REVIEW from Mary Gramlich "The Reading Reviewer"

MY RUTHLESS PRINCE by Gaelen Foley
Inferno Club Series #4
12/11 - HarperCollins Publishers - Mass Market Paperback, 384 pages

Will the light my love provides, drive out the darkness haunting your soul?

When you have loved someone since childhood, your determination to keep them safe is foremost in your mind.  Emily Harper has been chasing after Drake, the Earl of Westwood longer than she can remember.  Even now that he has appeared to have gone with the evil forces his brother warriors fight she believes he can be saved.

Emily finds herself caught up in a dangerous situation with no way out of the castle where the masters of destruction reside.  Drake sets up a rouse to keep her from safe but will it be enough to keep her from being killed.  When you are up against the force the wants to control the world, one woman is not going to stand in their way.  Drake has been drawn into the pit of desperation and risen like a phoenix and will take the plan he has devised and make it work.  But the question that stays in the back of everyone mind is - what side is Drake working for the good guys or the bad?

With Emily moving about inside the belly of the beast trying to get Drake back home unscathed, she finds more riddles than answers.  Both Emily and Drake are playing a dangerous game and neither will tell what they are up to.  The objective of who you are loyal too should be clear yet it is not and Emily must believe on faith that Drake is saying the truth.  With the plot of destruction being set on its course, can everyone get their plans completed and still be alive to talk about it?

Gaelen Foley writes daring adventures, with dashing characters, and plot twists you will never see coming.  Hold on tight because Drake and Emily’s story is one for the record books of romance and darkness all rolled into one great read.

  1. I'd fight for my children. The most dangerous creature in the wild is a Mother protecting it's young - that's me.

  6. Hello, Mary, and Happy Holidays to you all! Thank you for the kind words and wonderful review, Mary. I totally agree with what everyone has said about loved ones/family being the main thing worth fighting for. We are very blessed to have people to love in our lives. This is a great time of year to ponder that, hmm... :)

  8. Amen to that, LSU! I'm glad that a lot of our troops will at least be home for Christmas this year that had to miss their families in past years.

  13. You guys are making my day! Thank you so much. Got to say, to me, my readers are worth fighting for, too. When I hear some snooty type putting down the romance genre or pulling out that tired old "bon bon eating" line, that gets my Irish up and I let 'em have it. "You insult my readers, you and I are gonna have a problem!!" *g* As my dear friend Lara Adrian once described me, she's "small but scrappy." lol.

Thanks again for reading. Mary, you have great blog visitors!
